New Liebherr App Simplifies Spare Parts Identification and Ordering

Share:

Liebherr Maritime Cranes has launched “Parts Assistant,” a free digital application developed to simplify spare parts identification and maintenance preparation for mobile harbour, offshore, ship, deep foundation, duty cycle, and crawler cranes. Available globally on the App Store and Google Play for customers with a valid MyLiebherr business account, the application addresses long-standing operational challenges by providing fast, error-free access to components directly on-site.

The application features an AI-based spare parts identification tool that allows users to recognize components via photo recognition, QR code scanning, item number entry, or text search in more than 100 languages. This setup enables quick identification even when nameplates are damaged or missing, and results can be cross-checked with the official Liebherr parts catalogue before ordering. Additionally, an “expert check” feature allows users to submit a verification request directly to a Liebherr service partner via a service ticket if operational certainty is required.

Complementing its identification features, the application assists maintenance teams by listing actual machine operating hours alongside service kits for upcoming regular maintenance intervals. These customizable lists include required spare parts, service materials, and consumables, which can be ordered through a pre-populated shopping basket.
