Mevea and Global Port Equipment (GPE), a subsidiary of Forkliftcenter, have announced a partnership to provide training simulators for port and heavy equipment operators worldwide. Through this collaboration, GPE will integrate Mevea’s physics-based crane and port equipment simulators into its global portfolio of equipment, services, and solutions. The partnership aims to enhance safety, efficiency, and operational readiness within port and terminal environments by combining simulation technology with extensive equipment expertise.
The agreement focuses on delivering added value throughout the entire equipment lifecycle, covering operator training, skills development, and performance optimization. Customers will gain access to Mevea’s high-fidelity simulators alongside GPE’s existing sales, rental, and maintenance services. This unified approach is designed to support the growing industry demand for smarter operations and modernized training methodologies.
As part of the cooperation, GPE’s global headquarters in Amsterdam will host the new Mevea Port Equipment Experience Center and the GPE Academy. These facilities will serve as an environment for customers and partners to experience hands-on training and witness innovations in modern port operations.
