Maersk Expands Logistics Footprint in Northeastern Brazil

A.P. Moller – Maersk has opened a new distribution centre in Cabo de Santo Agostinho, Brazil, to strengthen its integrated logistics network in Latin America. Located approximately 20 km from the Port of Suape and Recife International Airport, the facility is designed to support the region’s rising trade and industrial activity by connecting ocean, cabotage, inland transport, and warehousing services.

The 11,920 m² site features 11,297 pallet positions, 36 loading docks, and 4 access ramps, with a clear height of 12 m. It is equipped with LED lighting and 100% electric material handling equipment, aiming to lower greenhouse gas emissions. The facility is managed via Maersk’s global warehouse management system to provide real-time inventory visibility for industries including retail, automotive, technology, and consumer goods.
