Kempower has signed a framework agreement with DP World to supply DC fast-charging solutions and related services across all DP World port terminals in Canada, standardizing infrastructure to support the electrification of service vehicles and container-handling equipment. The agreement spans DP World’s Canadian terminal network across Vancouver, Fraser Surrey, Nanaimo, Prince Rupert, Saint John, and the under-construction Contrecoeur container terminal at the Port of Montreal, which is expected to be commissioned by 2030.
In the first phase of the partnership, Kempower is supplying 46 satellites delivering a total of 4.4 MW of power to terminals in Vancouver, Fraser Surrey, and Prince Rupert, with the Vancouver site already active. Utilizing distributed and modular charging architecture, the system provides flexible power distribution and built-in redundancy to ensure uninterrupted uptime for demanding port logistics.
While the framework agreement does not feature binding order volumes, DP World Canada will issue individual orders according to its ongoing investment plans. The collaboration builds on a previous 2024 partnership between Kempower and DP World at the London Gateway logistics hub.
