Kalmar has opened its industry-first, fully automated Test Centre in Ljungby, Sweden, aiming to accelerate electric and autonomous product development. The grand opening ceremony welcomed approximately 300 guests, including customers, dealers, suppliers, and media representatives.
Located next to Kalmar’s Innovation Centre, the facility is designed for 24/7 unattended accelerated lifetime testing under extreme conditions ranging from arctic cold to desert heat. It enables rigorous driving simulations and load testing of up to 45 tonnes for both electric vehicle and diesel product lines.
