A massive industrial module for INEOS’s Project ONE ethane cracker has arrived at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, delivered by the ship Jin Xu Xiang 88 from Abu Dhabi.
The 55-m-high module weighs nearly 7,000 t, ranking among the most significant pieces of project cargo received by the port in recent years. A second module weighing just under 7,200 t is expected to arrive in the first half of August.
The facility will convert ethane into ethylene for applications such as medical devices, car parts, wind turbines, solar panels, and insulation materials, with the groundbreaking having taken place on 15 December 2022.
