ELME has expanded its equipment portfolio with the launch of the Coil Grabber 719G, a dedicated reach stacker attachment designed for steel coil handling. Built to handle loads weighing up to 45 tonnes, the unit grips coils securely from both sides to facilitate operations within confined terminal and industrial spaces.
To ensure load protection, the attachment integrates rounded lifting surfaces, rubber supports, and soft back padding. Positioning capabilities include a hydraulic sideshift of ±0.5 m, operational even under load, as well as rotation of 195° clockwise and 105° counterclockwise in less than 42 seconds between endpoints. The 5,900 kg unit accommodates coil widths from 1.015 m to 2.34 m and outer diameters up to 1.9 m, with custom dimensions available on request.
The 719G mounts directly to reach stacker boom heads or through an optional Tool Changer interface, and its structure can be disconnected for transport. Operation is driven by a 24 VDC CAN bus control system using the J1939 protocol, supported by hydraulic parameters of 140 bar operating pressure and a flow rate of 60 L/min.
