Cavotec Secures Shore Power Order for Southern California Cruise Terminal

Share:

Cavotec has won an order worth approximately EUR 1.5m to supply shore power equipment for a cruise terminal expansion project in Southern California, USA. The specialized shore power systems enable cruise ships to connect directly to the local electrical grid while docked. This technology significantly reduces environmental emissions and noise levels by eliminating the need to run onboard diesel engines during port stays.

The contract includes the delivery of Cavotec’s proprietary shore power technologies, specifically the PowerMove, PowerFeed, and PowerCover systems. Equipment deliveries for the expansion project are scheduled to take place during Q3 2027.
