Cavotec has signed a EUR 7m order with a global container shipping company to retrofit low- and medium-voltage container vessels with shore power technology.
The agreement was signed in the second quarter of 2026, with deliveries expected throughout the year. The retrofitting work will take place while the vessels remain in operation to prevent any interruptions to their sailing schedules.
This latest contract brings the customer’s total selected equipment to 24 container ships outfitted with shore power across 2025 and 2026, reinforcing growing market demand for maritime electrification and decarbonisation solutions.
