BEUMER Group has officially inaugurated a new high-tech manufacturing facility in Taicang, China, representing a multi-million-euro investment in its global production network. The opening ceremony, held on December 10, 2025, marks a dual milestone as it coincides with the 20th anniversary of BEUMER China and the company’s 90th anniversary globally. This expansion underscores the family-owned group’s long-term strategic commitment to the Chinese market and its goal to enhance service capabilities across the Asia-Pacific region.
The new facility covers approximately 33,350 square meters, featuring 23,000 square meters of manufacturing space across two large-scale workshops. Construction was completed in just 12 months, moving from groundbreaking in July 2024 to handover in June 2025. Integrated into the group’s global manufacturing network, the site utilizes smart factory principles and digital production technology to ensure high quality and operational efficiency. To support this expansion, the group also established two new Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprises (WOFE) in Taicang.
Since establishing its Chinese presence in 2005 with a single product line, BEUMER China has grown into a comprehensive organization employing approximately 400 people. The new Taicang hub is designed to align with national and global sustainability goals by minimizing environmental impact through eco-conscious production methods. This modern base allows the company to provide more responsive support and innovation for diverse industries, including airport baggage handling, logistics, cement, and mining sectors.
