Oman’s integrated logistics provider, Asyad Group, and CMA CGM Group, have signed a Framework Agreement to develop, manage, and operate a new multipurpose logistics terminal in Sohar. The initial conditions agreement was finalized during the official visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to France, signaling enhanced economic cooperation between the two nations.
The long-term partnership establishes a framework for a USD 400m terminal designed to expand integrated logistics services and supply chain solutions. The project aims to boost cargo handling volumes, reinforce regional and international trade corridors, and strengthen the connection of Omani ports to global shipping networks and international markets.
The initiative leverages Asyad Group’s extensive ecosystem, which operates across more than 76 cities in 24 countries with a fleet of over 100 vessels serving 90 destinations.
