AD Ports Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CMA Terminals Khalifa Port and CMA CGM Group to develop intermodal solutions and extend inland reach across the UAE and the wider region. The partnership aims to utilize AD Ports Group’s consolidated network of rail-linked inland container depots, dry ports, and cargo depots to improve trade connectivity and efficiency beyond the traditional quay side.
The collaboration focuses on anchoring cargo flows through integrated rail-linked facilities, connecting maritime services directly to inland consumer and industrial markets. This initiative includes exploring trade corridor options to the borders of Oman and Saudi Arabia, as well as strengthening logistics links within the Northern Emirates. By diversifying routing options, the agreement supports the UAE’s industrial growth and enhances the resilience of national export corridors.
Inaugurated in 2024, CMA Terminals Khalifa Port is a joint venture between CMA CGM Group (70%) and AD Ports Group (30%). This new strategic cooperation intends to transform the terminal into an inland-enabled gateway, optimizing supply chain movement between major ports and regional demand centers.
