Port Saint John has released its 2025 Annual Report, titled “Foundation Forged: From Investment to Impact,” announcing the completion of its $247m West Side Modernization Project. The newly expanded terminal delivers increased capacity, a new berth, and strengthened intermodal connections, enabling the port to handle more than four times its previous container volumes.

Operational figures for 2025 reveal substantial cargo growth across multiple sectors. The port handled 239,364 TEUs of container cargo, representing a 29.4% increase compared to 2024, alongside 24.5m metric tonnes of liquid bulk and 1.3m metric tonnes of dry bulk. The cruise sector also achieved a record season, welcoming 196,000 passengers during 83 vessel calls.

Milestones for the year include Port Saint John joining the Gemini Cooperation network. Additionally, the port broke ground on Americold’s $100m import-export hub to enhance capabilities in temperature-controlled, agri-food, breakbulk, and containerized trade.
