Halifax Port Authority Adopts OneHarbour Situational Awareness Solution

Share:

The Halifax Port Authority (HPA) has signed a Managed Service Agreement with Datifex to implement its OneHarbour™ platform for harbour management. Built on Datifex’s DATIVerse 3D™ technology, the solution integrates complex operational data, including vessel traffic, berth scheduling, and environmental conditions, into a single, browser-based, interactive 3D environment. This transition aims to improve real-time decision-making within the HPA’s Operations Centre.

Beyond standard operations, the platform delivers automated alerts for risks such as potential vessel collisions, unauthorized movements, and hazardous weather. By integrating data from AIS transponders, radar, and computer vision, OneHarbour provides a unified view of vessel tracks, improving the detection of vessels without AIS. The technology was developed and tested at The PIER, the HPA’s living lab for transport and supply chain innovation.

Datifex, a 2026 NATO DIANA Innovator cohort member, is currently leveraging the platform’s capabilities for broader defence applications. Following trials at the Digital Ocean Lab in Germany, the company is demonstrating the system’s effectiveness for maritime security to the German Navy and Baltic Maritime Command, highlighting its utility for both commercial ports and conflict-affected maritime theatres.
