SLPA and Unifeeder Lanka Sign Terminal Service Agreement

Share:

The Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) and Unifeeder Lanka (Pvt) Ltd have signed a Terminal Service Agreement (TSA) to enhance operational efficiency at the Port of Colombo. The agreement, which remains valid until 2028, establishes a comprehensive framework for terminal services, focusing on handling, coordination, and performance parameters within this regional maritime gateway.

This partnership is designed to ensure continuity in service planning and improve schedule integrity for feeder operations. By defining clear operational standards through 2028, the arrangement aims to maintain consistent throughput reliability and support the Port of Colombo’s position within intra-Asia shipping networks. The transition to a long-term agreement moves away from short-term contracting cycles to foster more stable maritime operations.

The formal execution of the agreement involved senior leadership from both organizations, including SLPA Chairman Dr. Parakrama Dissanayake and Unifeeder Lanka Branch Head/Director Mr. Sanjay Marasinghe.
