Panama Canal Updates Prequalification for Strategic Initiatives

Share:

The Panama Canal Authority (ACP) has published amendments to the prequalification documents for the development of an energy corridor and container transshipment terminals in Corozal and Telfers.

These updates, following the initial publication on January 30, 2026, aim to provide greater clarity to participants and improve process efficiency based on market feedback. These initiatives are part of the Canal’s 2025–2035 Strategic Vision to diversify services and strengthen Panama’s position as a global logistics hub.

Key adjustments include the extension of critical deadlines for interested parties. The period for submitting clarification requests has been extended to April 8, 2026, while the final deadline for the submission of prequalification documents is now set for June 8, 2026. These changes apply to both the energy corridor pipeline and the construction of port terminals on the Atlantic and Pacific coasts.
