Ocean Network Express (ONE) has signed a share purchase agreement for a 30% stake in Hutchison Laemchabang Terminal Limited (HLT) in Thailand. This strategic investment in the Eastern Economic Corridor secures long-term access to competitive capacity in a primary Southeast Asian gateway. The acquisition is currently subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
HLT is the leading deep-water operator at Laem Chabang Port, managing the highly automated Terminal D as well as Terminals C1, C2, and A3. By deepening its partnership with Hutchison Ports, ONE intends to leverage advanced port technology to improve service reliability. The move aligns with the company’s global strategy to secure infrastructure in essential trade hubs.
Operating a fleet of over 260 vessels, ONE provides container shipping services to more than 120 countries. This investment strengthens the carrier’s presence in a key strategic market and underscores its commitment to operational excellence. The partnership aims to provide customers with more efficient solutions through HLT’s industry-leading capabilities.
