Liebherr has officially unveiled the LTM 1090-4.3, an advanced successor to the LTM 1090-4.2, featuring the pioneering LICCON3 control system. This 4-axle, 90-tonne mobile crane marks a significant leap in operational efficiency, offering increased lifting capacities on its 60-meter telescopic boom. Designed for global versatility, the machine is engineered to operate economically under various axle load configurations, including 10, 12, and 16-tonne limits, making it an ideal solution for diverse international construction requirements.
The core of the upgrade is the third-generation Liebherr Computed Control (LICCON3), which introduces a completely new software architecture, faster data processing, and expanded memory. The system is paired with a redesigned operator’s cab that prioritizes ergonomic comfort through a multifunction steering wheel, a new automatic climate control system, and an intuitive touchscreen display. Additionally, the crane features optimized LED lighting packages and is prepared for telemetry and fleet management via the MyLiebherr customer portal as standard.
Safety and performance are further enhanced by intelligent driver assistance systems, including the Blind Spot Information System (BSIS) and Moving Off Information System (MOIS). The LTM 1090-4.3 also incorporates proven innovations such as VarioBallast® for adjustable ballast radius and VarioBase® for flexible support, alongside the DynamicPerform clutch for wear-free maneuvering. Prepared for RemoteDrive technology, the crane allows operators to control vehicle movements from outside the cab, ensuring maximum precision in confined workspaces.
