EJMT (the Lamongan operation of International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI)) is strengthening commercial ties between East Java and Eastern Indonesia to meet rising demand for efficient transport networks. Representatives from the Indonesian Logistics and Forwarders Association (ALFI/ILFA) recently visited the Lamongan-based facility to discuss enhancing cargo connectivity, freight development, and market access across the archipelago.
The dialogue focused on optimizing cargo flows between production hubs and consumer markets through improved shipping routes and logistics infrastructure. Both parties identified connectivity, competitive costs, and reliable transport options as essential factors for companies navigating the region’s distribution patterns, with plans to continue consulting with manufacturers and freight operators to further streamline supply chains.
Located within the Lamongan Shorebase complex, EJMT has been operational since October 2024, providing services for containerized, bulk, and project cargo. The terminal serves as a strategic gateway for surrounding industrial areas, supporting ICTSI’s broader commitment to facilitating economic activity and regional trade through its Indonesian port operations.
