Safiport has successfully expanded its infrastructure with the arrival of four new ship-to-shore (STS) cranes at its port facility. The equipment completed a 75-day sea transit from the port of dalian, china, representing a strategic investment aimed at enhancing the terminal’s long-term container operations.
The new machinery features a 65.5 m outreach and a 65-metric-tonne under-spreader lifting capacity, specifically designed to service next-generation large container vessels and ulcv operations. This deployment is expected to double the current crane fleet, significantly strengthening simultaneous operation capabilities and overall container handling throughput at the facility.
